The Boy Who Dared is a well written book that does a good job telling the story of the life of Helmuth Hubener. Helmuth is the main character of the story and is the Protagonist. The challenge, enemy or opponent for Hemuth are the Nazi's. They are the antagonists. The story is told in third person through flashbacks during Helmuth's prison time. The external conflict is between Helmuth and the Nazi's. The internal conflict was how Helmuth struggled to go against his religious beliefs of obeying the law and going against the Nazi's. The climax is when Helmuth is arrested. The falling action or resolution is when Helmuth dies and is floating at the end of the book.
